If you love creativity, join this year’s “Vietnam - Where I live” design competition with the theme “Re-imagining Tradition” – a platform for you to express your personal perspective on Vietnamese identity in the modern era, and a chance to win a full scholarship in Graphic Design from London College for Design and Fashion (Hanoi) and kick-start your dream career as a Designer or a Creative Director!
Start by observing the place where you live – from the people and landscapes to the cultural practices being preserved, design a visual/identifying symbol inspired by your local surroundings, exploring how traditional Vietnamese culture adapts within a fast-changing, modern society.
First prize – one scholarship of 100% tuition fee at the London College for Design and Fashion (Hanoi) and 3 million VND in cash
Second prize – one scholarship of 50% tuition fee at the London College for Design and Fashion (Hanoi) and 2 million VND in cash
Third prize – 1 million VND in cash
Best idea prize – 1 million VND in cash

You will observe and reflect on the area where you live, design a visual/identifying symbol inspired by your local surroundings, exploring how traditional Vietnamese culture adapts within a fast-changing, modern society.
For example: architecture, color, culture, decoration, history, nature, landscape, people, shape, sound, symbol, material, typography, etc.
The design can be presented using different methods: hand-drawn, tear-and-paste, photography, video, textures, 3D, etc. If the participant chooses a 3D design, they will need to submit no more than 3 photos of the design. They will also need to consider the background and lighting of their photos.

Everyone from the ages of 15 and 28 can participate, regardless of whether the contestants are Vietnamese or foreigners.
- Designs must be directly sent or delivered by mail no sooner than 31st of July, 2025 to the following address: London College for Design & Fashion (Hanoi), 98 To Ngoc Van Street, Quang An, Tay Ho, Ha Noi.
- Please clearly write: “Vietnam – where I live 2025” on the envelope before sending it.
- 50 participants with sketches chosen for the final round will be notified and contacted by the Organizers.
- The final round will take place in either Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, including a ceremony and a public exhibition of winning designs. Awards will be given at the end of the ceremony.
- The most impressive designs will be published on the contest's fanpage and online newspapers.
- Candidates who live far away from the exhibition sites will be partly sponsored travelling and living expenses to take part in the exhibition.
