Do you know where famous designers usually get their design ideas from? Art, culture, and architecture from the past, present, or future – all have been endless sources of inspiration for generations of designers over the years.
Vietnam is a country full of history, traditions, and diversity that is unlike anywhere else: 54 different ethnicities living in 64 different provinces, each with their unique lifestyles, sceneries, and colours. Overcoming the pandemic, Vietnam is ready for a strong recovery this year. Hopefully, in the next 50 years, Vietnam will take the next evolutionary step, with scientific and technological breakthroughs that are made and owned by Vietnamese people. So, what do you think Vietnam will be like in the next 50 years?

Submissions will be pictorial descriptions of Vietnam or your hometown, clearly showing the expectations of change and development in the next 50 years.
You will research the prominent values of Vietnam or your hometown or a city in Vietnam that you love, then express your expectations about the change and development of those values in the next 50 years.
For example, HECTIC, BUSY are the words that we can use to describe Hanoi, but that is probably the same as many other big cities. So how would you describe Hanoi? How do you think Hanoi will change in the next 50 years? How do you want other people to feel about Hanoi? What is special about Hanoi in 2070?
Design a visual/identifying logo for Vietnam or your town in the next 50 years from the unique values you find. Make sure your design is easily identifiable using appropriate media. You should carefully consider the unique and interesting elements that represent Vietnam or your home city in the future.
For example: architecture, color, culture, decoration, history, nature, landscape, people, shape, sound, symbol, material, typography, etc.
Everyone from the ages of 15 and 28 can participate, regardless of whether the contestants are Vietnamese or foreigners.
Designs must be directly sent or delivered by mail no sooner than December 31st, 2022 to the following address:
London College for Design & Fashion (Hanoi), 98 To Ngoc Van Street, Quang An, Tay Ho, Ha Noi.
Please clearly write: “Vietnam – where I live 2022” on the envelope before sending it.
