The new Photography course at the London College for Design & Fashion (Hanoi) will be based upon international standards, focusing upon creative, personal and professional development. Students will develop confidence and skills in preparation for entry into the professional working environment.
Students will be provided the opportunity to develop a creative photographic practice in a challenging environment in which to develop individual potential within a broad range of contemporary photographic practices. The continual development of a personal portfolio of work will enable them to demonstrate their abilities to potential employers
The course builds from an experimental induction-focused first year of study, orientated around workshop activities, the expansion of visual/critical vocabulary and on improving technical skills.
The second year encourages students to consider the importance of creative process and how their work might be situated in the creative industries through elements such as live project briefs and collaborations with professional and academic partners.
Students will complete final year with a major project to give them an opportunity to set their own briefs and produce a professional portfolio to prepare them for a career in their chosen field.
