Lisa Shawgi

Programme Leader: Fashion

Dr Lisa Shawgi is an educator, researcher and fashion designer, with a focus on sustainability, well-being, health and disability in fashion and textiles. She holds a Masters in Fashion Knitwear Design and a Doctorate in Design Philosophy and has over fifteen years industry experience working for labels such as Vera Wang before establishing her own award-winning international studio practice.

As a senior lecturer in fashion design at LCDF, she oversees both theory and practice through design research, textile development, mixed-media experimentation, user-centred design, portfolio development, professional practice and prototype exploration, to inform contemporary design practice. Research activities ensure she stays at the forefront of current and future topics within art and design. Including, exploring industry and community collaborations to enhance the teaching experience through live projects.

Anna Maria Baranowska

Programme leader: Interior Architecture & Design

Anna Maria Baranowska is an experienced educator and designer whose practice bridges spatial design, architecture, and creative education. She holds a PhD in progress and earned her MA (Hons) in Interior & Spatial Design from the University of the Arts London, Chelsea, as well as a BA (Hons) in Interior Architecture & Design from the University for the Creative Arts, Canterbury.

In academia, Anna has held teaching and leadership positions at leading institutions in the UK and China. She served as Subject Lead for BA Environmental Design at the Institute of Creative and Innovation in Xiamen (China), and as Senior Lecturer and Year Convener for the BA Interior Architecture & Design at the University for the Creative Arts, Canterbury. She has also lectured at the University of the Arts London, Chelsea, teaching across both undergraduate and postgraduate design programmes.

Alongside her academic work, Anna is the Founder of AMB Studio, a multidisciplinary design practice specialising in spatial design across commercial, retail, residential, and conceptual projects. Her previous professional experience includes working as an Architectural Designer and Project Manager for Studio Sam Causer (Margate) and Architecture Project (London) - with projects such as Stanhope Gardens, nominated for the Inside Award 2014.

Her career reflects a deep commitment to the dialogue between design theory and practice, mentoring emerging designers while continuing to engage in research and creative exploration across spatial disciplines.

Evgennia Ivanycheva

Lecturer in Illustration, Interior Architecture & Design

Evgeniia Ivanycheva is an interior designer with over a decade of experience specializing in diverse projects within the food and beverage, hospitality, and residential sectors across various locations and settings, with projects featured in esteemed publications such as SALON Interior and AD Magazine.

Coming from a theatrical set design background, she brings a unique perspective to her work, considering not only the visual aesthetics but also emphasizing factors such as acoustics, temperature, tactile experiences, and lighting scenarios, recognizing their significance in enhancing human well-being. Her teaching philosophy revolves around the idea that design should be purposeful, functional, sustainable, and relevant to its location and original intention.

As a creative professional, she values continuous learning and development. She has obtained certificates from Chelsea College of Art and Design and Milano Business School, where she completed the HORECA Project Design & Marketing program. She is currently pursuing a LEED Green Associate certification, further expanding her knowledge and expertise in sustainable design practices.

Evgeniia is a multidisciplinary artist exploring different kinds of medium and styles. As a creator, her objective is to explore the extraordinary nature of ordinary objects. She is currently living and working in Hanoi where has been creating using watercolors, photography, Al, and more.
