Fashion Forecasting for Beginners short course will give you theoretical knowledge of how and why trends are born and adopted, including the impacts of social, political, environmental and technological changes happening all around us.
You will also be given the creative and practical skills to develop a trend forecast and apply this to a creative fashion outcome of your choosing.
Analyzing macro and micro trends, as well as using trend forecasting platforms such as WGSN, will enable you to better understand how fashion businesses operate and how they target their customers creatively through trend forecasting reports.
Through a selection of presentations and workshops, you will learn the fundamentals of how to predict and produce your very own fashion forecasting mood board, develop a concept for a specific season, a colour palette, and key silhouettes and fabrics. Using the method of applying fashion forecasts within the design process, you will have the option to produce either a range of fashion design ideas or a fashion photoshoot for a lookbook.
